Meditation is as old as humankind. Everyone knows what it is, some feel like it is for tree huggers, some think it means you have to lock yourself up in a silent retreat and meditate for 10 hours in a row.
So before you say no (hopefully, you have done the first challenge), let me give you some scientific reasons why meditation is good for your happiness:
- Increases positive thoughts and emotions
- Decreases depression
- Decreases anxiety
- Decreases stress
- Increases emotional intelligence
- Makes your more compassionate
- Boosts self-control

So where do you start? I would say; start slow. I use the Honest Guys on Youtube. They have some wonderful guided meditations.
Guided meditation is a wonderful way to get used to meditation. Just challenge yourself to do this every night for a whole month.
