Reading is food for the mind; it needs new information to grow. Don’t overfeed it with unuseful information, give it something good to chew on.

Living a century or more

A month ago I finished a book called ‘Living a century or more’. It is basically about food. There are so many diet books out there that tell you what to do and what not to do. The difference is that Living a Century or more is scientifically based, after reading this you cannot deny certain things about food and health.

Why read a book about food?

You want to be happy, right? I guess so, or else you wouldn’t have been reading this blog. They say you are what you eat and in most cases this is true. You want to feel happy, then you should avoid eating some types of food, while they only give you temporary satisfaction. Fast food and high in fat/sugar foods like doughnuts (which is obvious) should be avoided, but did you know that drinking milk is also not the best option for your body and mind? And did you know eating proteins gives you overall more energy than carbs? For the girls reading this: Chocolate, don’t skip it, eat one 15gr piece of 71% dark chocolate every day and it will prevent diseases and health issues and keeps you happy! Good food can even help to avoid certain diseases.

Eat 71% Dark Chocolate, Nuts, Fruit, Proteins and Slow carbs. Food is the source for happiness if you do it right. It even prevents diseases. Don’t underestimate the power of good food!

The challenge:

It’s easy, read the book ‘Living a century or more’. You will not regret buying this book! Please let me know what you think of it after reading it!
